1. You book more of a destination style wedding where you travel to a location ideally that location close by has ample amount of accommodation and maybe even an option of a bus for your family and friends… Bonus points if your venue has accomodation on site! Who doesn’t love a wedding weekend!
2. You choose a venue that's not too far away. Because who wants to deal with long distances or relentless logistics when you're meant to be enjoying the journey to your wedding? You might be thinking this doesn’t really sound like fun right! Being near to the venue puts you right in the middle of everything.
In the end, it's all about making memories with the people that mean the most to you. So I would encourage you to consider both options!
5. Remember this is YOUR wedding…
Well this sounds pretty obvious right? To be completely honest with you after over 300 weddings that I have captured… Its so easy to forget. It’s easy to forget that if your day, so do things that bring YOU JOY! When you go to look at the venue and your checking it out make sure you can see yourselves having the absolute best time ever there. Try to keep those around you (who are very keen to help) voices out of your heads when it comes to making this decision. Make sure that the venue rules / T&C’s suit you and your vibes!
Do not forget that the search for a wedding venue should be fun. So try to enjoy it, not a chore to be stressed about and don’t over think it.
