The venue
Weddings at Bendooley Estate
Bendooley Estate sits among vineyards on the edge of Berrima, in the Southern Highlands. Heritage buildings, vineyard rows and warm light, all on the one property. For a photographer, having this many distinct spaces in one place is rare, and it is part of what makes a day here flow the way it does.
Most days here centre on The Book Barn, a working bookshop lined with towering shelves. It is a rare setting for a ceremony or a reception, full of character and easy to photograph without any staging. The Stables brings a rustic and elegant feel, and The Gables gives you another distinct space to move through as the day goes on.
The day tends to move from the vineyard rows in the afternoon, where the light softens between the vines, into The Book Barn or The Stables as the sun drops. Knowing where to be, and when, is the difference between chasing the day and moving with it. I have shot enough weddings here to already know where we will be standing when the light is at its best.
The Southern Highlands, my most photographed region
I am based on the South Coast, near Berry, about an hour from Bendooley Estate. The Southern Highlands is the region I photograph more than any other, over 34 weddings across Berrima, Bowral, Berry and the towns around them. I know the roads, the venues and the way the light changes through the seasons up here.
Because Bendooley Estate sits inside my two-hour zone from Berry, there is no travel fee for your wedding here. You get a photographer who already knows this part of the world, and who has spent more days working across the Southern Highlands than anywhere else.

The process
How I work
Most couples tell me the same thing before their wedding: they want great photos, but they don't want their day to feel like a photoshoot. That's the only brief I work to. A wedding day should feel lived in, not staged. I stay close enough to catch everything and unobtrusive enough that you forget I'm there.
It starts with a free 15 to 20 minute call, so we can talk through your day and make sure we are a fit. To lock in your date, a $1,000 deposit holds it. About three months out I send a questionnaire to map the timeline. You will see a set of previews within 48 to 72 hours of the wedding, and your full gallery lands 6 to 8 weeks later.
I take a limited number of weddings each year, and popular Bendooley Estate dates tend to book 12 to 18 months ahead. If you have a date in mind, it is worth reaching out early.
