Weddings at Greyleigh
Greyleigh is a former 1800s dairy farm set across roughly 200 acres of Kiama hinterland, restored with a fit-out that still lets the heritage show through. Rolling green paddocks. Coastal light. Original farm structures reimagined without losing their bones. For a photographer, it is rare to find this many distinct spaces on one property.
The day usually begins with getting ready in the Homestead or the Guesthouse, where a lot of couples and their bridal party stay the night before. From there it flows outdoors. The Secret Garden is a natural amphitheatre, a winding path opening to sea views, and it photographs beautifully in the afternoon. The Orchard, the Gazebo and the Lawn each carry their own light, the Lawn looking out across the beaches and hinterland at once.
Then The Gables for the reception, part of the original dairy farm, where the 1800s concrete silos have been turned into cocktail areas around fire pits. As the light goes, those spaces come alive. Knowing where to be, and when, is the difference between chasing the day and moving with it.
Local to the South Coast
I live on the South Coast, near Berry, about 20 minutes from Greyleigh. It is home. I know the roads, the light through the seasons, and the property itself. When the ceremony runs late and the sun is dropping, I already know where we will be standing. That kind of local knowledge shows up quietly, right through your gallery.
Because Greyleigh is so close to home, there is no travel fee for your wedding here. Travel within two hours of Berry is included. You get someone who knows this stretch of the coast, and who has already photographed plenty of days at Greyleigh.

THE PROCESS
How I work
Most couples tell me the same thing before their wedding: they want great photos, but they don't want their day to feel like a photoshoot. That's the only brief I work to. A wedding day should feel lived in, not staged. I stay close enough to catch everything and unobtrusive enough that you forget I'm there.
It starts with a free 15 to 20 minute call, so we can talk through your day and make sure we are a fit. To lock in your date, a $1,000 deposit holds it. About three months out I send a questionnaire to map the timeline. You will see a set of previews within 48 to 72 hours of the wedding, and your full gallery lands 6 to 8 weeks later.
I take a limited number of weddings each year, and popular Greyleigh dates tend to book 12 to 18 months ahead. If you have a date in mind, it is worth reaching out early.
Kind words
“We honestly couldn't have asked for a better wedding photographer than Matt. He was professional, calming, organised, and so easy to work with on the day. He made us feel completely comfortable in front of the camera and captured every special moment so naturally.”
Tess
“He was such a calming presence on our wedding day, and his relaxed vibe was exactly what I needed. It honestly felt like he was part of the bridal party.”

YOUR GREYLEIGH WEDDING
By the end of the day, your photos should feel less like documentation and more like memory
If you are getting married at Greyleigh, tell me your date and a little about the day you're picturing, and we'll take it from there.
Your day, honestly captured as the day unfolds.
