Mona Farm is a whole day spread across the estate, and I like to move with it. Getting ready in the guest houses. A ceremony somewhere in the gardens, art and sculpture catching the light between the greenery. Then into the Woolshed as the afternoon settles and the room warms up. Knowing how the day travels across the property, and where the light goes, is what lets me stay close without getting in the way.

The venue
Weddings at Mona Farm
Mona Farm is a 124 acre estate on the edge of Braidwood, in the Southern Tablelands. It is the kind of place where art, architecture and landscape sit together. Eight acres of award-winning gardens, modern Australian and international sculpture through the grounds and the historic houses, and buildings restored so the heritage still shows through. For a wedding, the whole estate is yours for the booking, which changes how the day feels.
Ceremonies can happen anywhere across those gardens, so couples tend to choose the spot that suits them, a lawn, a garden bed, a piece of sculpture as a backdrop. From there the day moves to the reception. The original Woolshed has been restored with a vaulted ceiling, original timber floorboards and a proper bar, and there is the on-site Marquee as well, seating up to 150 guests between them. Both photograph beautifully as the light drops.
Then there is the accommodation, which is what turns a Mona Farm wedding into a weekend. Seven guest houses across the estate sleep up to 55 people, from couples' houses to larger group houses, with the Shearer's Quarters usually kept for the couple on the night. Everyone stays close, the morning is unhurried, and the day does not end when the reception does.
Photographing Braidwood
I am based on the South Coast, near Berry, and Braidwood is about ninety minutes inland from the coast. It is a drive I make regularly, and one I am glad to make. Mona Farm is a destination for a reason, and the run up through the tablelands into Braidwood is part of what makes a wedding here feel like a proper occasion.
Because I photograph this area often, I know how it behaves. The tablelands light is different to the coast, cooler and cleaner, and it falls across the Mona Farm gardens in a way that rewards knowing the property. I arrive knowing the estate and the region around it, so on the day I can spend my attention on you rather than on finding my feet.

How I work
How I work
Most couples tell me the same thing before their wedding: they want great photos, but they don't want their day to feel like a photoshoot. That's the only brief I work to. A wedding day should feel lived in, not staged. I stay close enough to catch everything and unobtrusive enough that you forget I'm there.
It starts with a free 15 to 20 minute call, so we can talk through your day and make sure we are a fit. To lock in your date, a $1,000 deposit holds it. About three months out I send a questionnaire to map the timeline. You will see a set of previews within 48 to 72 hours of the wedding, and your full gallery lands 6 to 8 weeks later.
I take a limited number of weddings each year, and popular Mona Farm dates tend to book 12 to 18 months ahead. If you have a date in mind, it is worth reaching out early.
