William & Andrea's Hunter Valley NSW Autumn Wedding

Twenty Eighth of April Two Thousand & Eighteen

I was given the honour of shooting William and Andrea's special day, with help from Ryan Morris.

This hand crafted, boutique and intimate ceremony on the Waverly Estate Vineyard highlighted the close family and friends celebrating with Will and Andrea on the day.  From the grim forecast, to the day we were genuinely blessed with the most incredible, crisp autumn sunset. Kangaroos hopping through the vineyard with a fine cool breeze flowing over Andreas veil. The smiles were ear to ear on both them and us making colloquial jokes but also sharing in the high love and passion in the air.

I remember standing back giving William and Andrea a few moments to themselves to take it all in, as well as myself to be completely honest. I couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.

As a photographer, I think we can tend to forget what a privilege it is to be included in special days like this, to hear personal, deep and important stories about couples and also capture these moments, which they will cherish forever.

I love nothing more then shooting the first day of marriage of a couple who really show their love for each other to not only themselves but to others. For William and Andrea, we got to hear stories about the two of them helping each other through the face of adversity. I am so thankful to be able to have the opportunity to capture such a special day for these guys.

And as the Best man said in his speech, I will leave you with the words from William Clairmont...

“Friends are the family that you choose for yourself, and I am forever grateful for the day that you chose me to be a part of that family“
