I know how the afternoon light moves across these paddocks, how the ceremony lawn opens out onto the hills, and how the day settles once everyone heads inside for dinner. Weddings at The Homestead
The Homestead is one of Berry's newest luxury wedding venues, built on a working farm with sweeping country views. It was purpose-built for weddings, so everything is considered. Clean architectural lines, high-end finishes, and rolling hills in every direction. The look is relaxed elegance rather than fuss, and it holds the soft golden light beautifully as the day goes on.
The ceremony lawn overlooks open paddocks, so your vows sit against the farm and the hills behind them. From there the day moves indoors to a reception space that is sleek and spacious, designed from the ground up for weddings rather than made to fit one. With on-site accommodation and full weekend hire, the whole thing can unfold at its own pace, from the morning through to the last of the light.
That pace is where a wedding here comes alive. Knowing when the light will land on the lawn, where to be as the sun drops behind the hills, and how the evening builds inside is the difference between chasing the day and moving with it. On a property this considered, it pays to have someone who has already walked it.

Berry is home. I live here, on the South Coast, and I photograph weddings across this town and these hills all year round. I know the roads, the seasons, and the way the light changes across the farmland. When the ceremony runs a little late and the sun is dropping, I already know where we will be standing.
Because The Homestead is right here in Berry, there is no travel fee for your wedding. Travel within two hours of home is included. You get someone who knows this stretch of the coast, who lives ten minutes from your venue, and who treats a wedding in Berry the way you would want it treated, as a day in a place he cares about.

How I work
Most couples tell me the same thing before their wedding: they want great photos, but they don't want their day to feel like a photoshoot. That's the only brief I work to. A wedding day should feel lived in, not staged. I stay close enough to catch everything and unobtrusive enough that you forget I'm there.
It starts with a free 15 to 20 minute call, so we can talk through your day and make sure we are a fit. To lock in your date, a $1,000 deposit holds it. About three months out I send a questionnaire to map the timeline. You will see a set of previews within 48 to 72 hours of the wedding, and your full gallery lands 6 to 8 weeks later.
I take a limited number of weddings each year, and popular The Homestead dates tend to book 12 to 18 months ahead. If you have a date in mind, it is worth reaching out early.
